Emergency Service Associates, P.A. is proud to have provided exclusive emergency care to Peninsula Regional Medical Center since 1968.  In March 2008, ESA and PRMC celebrated the opening of the new The Robert T. Adkins Emergency/Trauma Center.  ESA cares for more that 75,000 adult and pediatric, trauma, medical and Express Care patients yearly in the  44,000 square foot facility.  There are 32 treatment rooms with telemetry monitoring, 4 fully equipped Trauma Bays, 4 psychiatric beds, an 8 bed Express Care Area, and 5 Triage/Rapid Treatment Rooms for a total of 53 private rooms.  The Emergency Department houses it’s own CT scanner, 2 radiology rooms and an ultrasound room.   

Designated as a Level 3 Trauma Center, PRMC is the Trauma Center for the entire Delmarva Peninsula, and meets many of the essential requirements of Level 1 and Level 2 Trauma centers including cardiopulmonary bypass and neurosurgery capability.  Accreditated as a Primary Stroke Center in 2006 by JAAHO and granted Society of Chest Pain Center Accreditation in 2007, Peninsula Regional Medical Centers' Emergency Deparment holds the highest standard of acute stroke and state of the art cardiac/chest pain evaluation care. 

Worcester County's premier healthcare provider, Atlantic General Hospital, services a growing population of local citizens as well as visitors of over 350,000 seasonally. AGH and ESA mutually fulfill their mission of providing excellence in healthcare in a new and expanded emergency department that last year cared for 24,000 patients. Our board certified emergency physicians and dedicated nurses treat nearly every possible adult and pediatric condition with expertise and compassion.

McCready Hospital in Crisfield, Maryland is the latest hospital Emergency Service Associates staffs.  We provide rapid and personal emergency care twenty-four hours a day providing full care for almost every emergency.  ESA looks forward to competently serve the people of Somerset County and surrounding communities in their own community.
